World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be accomplished by any upgrader of items NPC.
upgrade item boost the stats of an item and add additional features based on the type of item. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.
Armour
Link's armor is a key factor in keeping him safe from danger. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in different ways to enhance its defense capabilities.
Armour is designed to shield animals and people from injury or harm regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or from a variety of environmental or activity hazards. Historically, most armour was made of fabric or leather, but metal protections were also utilized in military applications, particularly like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
There are a variety of ways to upgrade armour, however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different degree of improvement with higher levels of protection requiring more rupees and materials.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been applied, they can't be removed until you own a different piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is recommended to only apply the highest-level upgrades to your equipment, and ensure that you have all the components needed to complete the process.
You can find the upgrades you need in many places around Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants and even enemies. These are usually marked by an orange triangle or a gold circle symbol. They are available in large numbers as you progress through. They can appear randomly, but there is a possibility that getting certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with more.
It is also important to note that, even though the level of protection provided by each upgrade is different but it's the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a powerful defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks, except magic. This makes it an effective weapon for all classes.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades that make them unique. They can boost damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your build, and even unlock new attachments, such as unique enchantments, ammo types, and aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon you'll need an upgrade component in place as well as the item itself. The weapon has to be at least an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only accept a single upgrade.
There are weapons upgrade components scattered across the globe and from the hands of enemies and can be bought from a merchant. Upgrade components are made up of ingredients that you are able to put into weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets to earn an attribute bonus. They require the equipment to be of a certain level to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mixture of Smithing Stones and Runes, and can be used to enhance the stats of a base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
There are two NPCs that can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's crucial to prioritize upgrading your best-in-slot items first, and then the ones you won't replace soon. Upgrade your weapon first, then upgrade your chest, shoulders feet, hands, and shoulders in case you intend to play an asymmetrical build. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your playstyle, some specific items are more beneficial than others. Armour is not any different, with some refining better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item at a time. If an upgrade project is canceled and the next upgrade for the item will not start. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but can have additional benefits.
A magical item is an item that has some special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, however some include armor, shields and cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other items. Some of these items can be made sentient.
Most magic items can be upgraded to become equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful to players or aid them to overcome a difficult situation. An infused weapon might provide an additional amount of damage to a specific kind of enemy, for example. This is especially useful for those who have reached the point where they're likely to encounter a particular type of monster in Dungeons.
A ring that is infused with magic could provide immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon or pierce or slash (excluding silvered attacks) until the character is given a second rest. This is particularly useful for melee fighters or anyone who wants to avoid buying a shield.
Some enchanted objects have special abilities that allow the character to cast spells that are not on their class list. This is beneficial for characters who have difficulty filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana) and the spell is determined by rolling a table that is based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other enchanted items might let the user change their appearance, or create an entirely new one. They can be especially useful for characters who have had to leave their homes, or who are in a situation that they aren't welcome. A magical item could give them the ability to disappear or make them invisible to everyone except the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that don't fall into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons, and provide a range of different capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, as opposed to Armor or Weapons. The majority of utility items have an effect that the player can activate when using them, but some also have additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses the button or activates an ability.
The Flashlight is the most popular accessory. It illuminates the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack that allows him to accelerate in any directions while on the ground. Several utility items can be instantly produced in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through research projects or projects in the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the normal inventory, players can also unlock the most powerful utility items by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
Most utility items increase an individual combat ability or provide the player with some kind of navigation advantage. Sharpening stones, made by a Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity. Maintenance Oils, crafted by the Huntsman, increase Concentration and healing power. Other utility items can be used by players to boost Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a utility item at the beginning of the campaign. Eventually, an additional slot is made available through the use of certain types armor or by completing engineering, research or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping an grenade Launcher. This allows players to use a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
