World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700, and then add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage that an upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of their base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items inaccessible, unless you're extremely lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to improve their performance. In the case of a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts increase their strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reduce its value.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain upon upgrading, along with their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circular arrows within the item menu. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you get from every point of health and it's crucial to improve your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them, and each requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll need anywhere between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid conditions with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to withstand a rout with your comrades.
You can't upgrade armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or spell power. item upgrader is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets so that you can get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give the player with a temporary effect. There are five types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a table or in the Alchemist's chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potions, right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the way potions are used. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion within a cauldron that is full. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Similar to lingering potions, the can be enhanced by adding redstone to it. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, such as the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant like a trinket. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an economical alternative to buying a new one. A player can upgrade a trinket with as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are no longer useful and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other items of gear they will not be replacing soon (for example rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value and the new trinket will receive an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
